INTENDED USE

BacterChrom™ Salmonella RB Agar is a selective chromogenic medium designed for the detection and isolation of Salmonella species in food and environmental samples. This medium aids in food safety testing by allowing rapid screening for Salmonella spp., a major pathogen associated with foodborne illnesses.
The packaging with semi-permeable Cellophane film helps balance the humidity of the environment during storage.

PRINCIPLES

BacterChrom™ Salmonella RB Agar ncorporates chromogenic substrates that interact with specific enzymatic activities of target organisms, producing distinct colony colors for differentiation. This medium provides a straightforward and reliable method for the identification and isolation of Salmonella spp., ensuring high specificity and simplifying laboratory workflows.

Allow to warm to room temperature before inoculation, dry the plates in an incubator with the covers partially removed.
Streak sample onto plate and incubate at 37°C for 24 hours in aerobic condition

RESULTS
