A range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria is inhibited by chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>PRINCIPLES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BacterTube\u2122 BHI Ge\/Cl <\/strong>with its main components including peptone, amino acids, nitrogen, sulfur, carbon, trace elements, and agar provides essential nutrients for bacterial growth. Dextrose serves as an energy source for the microorganism&#8217;s metabolic processes. Sodium chloride provides the necessary electrolytes. Combined with Chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits a wide range of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Gentamicin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, has bactericidal effects. It crosses the Gram-negative bacterial membrane through an active transport mechanism that is oxygen-dependent.
