This medium, supplemented with Vancomycin, Trimethoprim, Amphotericin B, and Polymyxin B, effectively inhibits the growth of contaminants such as Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi, making it highly specific for <em>H. pylori<\/em>.
