INTENDED USE
- TraceMedia™ Meat Extract Agar is a nutrient-rich medium suitable for the growth of most bacteria without any specific growth requirements. The medium is commonly used for various purposes such as preserving and storing cultures, performing sterility tests, and other general laboratory applications.
PRINCIPLE
- TraceMedia™ Meat Extract Agar contains Peptic digest of animal tissue, Meat extract, and agar, providing the necessary nutrients for bacterial growth.
RESULTS
- After incubation for the specified time, usually 18-24 hours, observe the bacterial colonies that have developed on the surface of the agar plate.
- Further identification of the isolated bacteria should be conducted using appropriate tests.
The relevant samples are directly inoculated onto the agar plates.
- If the agar plates have been refrigerated, allow them to warm up to room temperature before inoculating the samples.
- Inoculate the samples onto the agar plates.
- Incubate the plates in an aerobic condition at 35 – 37°C for 16 – 24 hours.
