INTENDED USE

  • BacterSerum™ Defibrinated sheep blood is an essential nutritional supplement for microbiological culture media. The sheep blood is aseptically collected and has been processed to remove fibrin. Defibrination sheep blood is now accepted as the best products to prepare microbiology culture media.
  • Bring BacterSerum™ Defibrinated sheep blood to room temperature before use
  • Add 5-10% or more of BacterSerum™ Defibrinated sheep blood into sterile culture media at 45 – 50ºC, mix well and distribute into sterile containers.
  • The sheep blood is drawn using sterile equipment and techniques. It is added to prepare Blood Agar medium, which is incubated for 48 to 72 hours to detect the presence of microorganisms.
