INTENDED USE
- TraceMedia™ Columbia Agar is a nutrient-rich culture medium used for the isolation of a wide variety of easily cultivable microorganisms. It can be supplemented with various growth factors to facilitate the isolation of specific microorganisms.
PRINCIPLE:
- TraceMedia™ Columbia Agar contains special peptone and starch, providing a source of nitrogen, carbon, amino acids, and vitamins necessary for microbial growth. Sodium chloride is added to maintain osmotic balance.
RESULTS:
- After incubation for the specified time, observe the growth and characteristics of colonies on the surface of the agar plate.
- For further identification of isolated bacteria, appropriate tests must be conducted.
1. Samples related will be directly plated on the agar.
2. If the agar plates have been refrigerated, allow them to warm up to room temperature before inoculating the samples.
3. Inoculate the samples onto the agar plates.
4. Incubate the plates at 35 – 37°C for 16 – 24 hours.
BacterLab checks the quality of each batch of products using standard ATCC strains.
