INTENDED USE

BacterTube™ PBS Buffer 1X is a phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution used in microbiological, biochemical, and molecular biology applications for maintaining physiological pH and osmolarity. It is widely used in cell culture, immunoassays, and sample preparation.

PRINCIPLES

Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is an isotonic buffer solution commonly used in biological research. It maintains a stable pH, preventing damage to cells and biomolecules. The combination of sodium and potassium salts mimics physiological conditions, making PBS suitable for cell culture and molecular applications.

Shake the bottle gently before use to ensure uniformity.
Use the PBS solution directly as a buffer for washing cells, diluting samples, or preparing reagents.
Store the buffer at 2-8°C when not in use.
