- The HUYAir FH Ducted Fume Hood is equipped with a Quimipol fan motor from Spain, known for its energy efficiency, extended filter life, and reduced operational noise. The interior and fan blades are made from chemical-resistant PP plastic, ensuring durability and high performance.
- The fume hood features a direct sensor to monitor airflow and includes an alarm mode for low airflow conditions, with a maximum airflow speed of 0.51 m/s when the door is open to 500 mm.
- Design elements include bypass slots for airflow at the top front and baffles to adjust airflow direction, optimizing performance whether the door is closed or open. The double-wall design minimizes airflow leakage and maintains high aesthetic standards for electrical and plumbing systems. The fume hood also includes a 250 mm diameter exhaust duct, with options to add additional ducting as needed to vent air outside the laboratory.
- The exterior of the hood is made from 1.2 mm thick galvanized steel with chemical-resistant powder coating. The interior chamber is constructed from 0.8 mm thick Polypropylene (PP) and Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), which are resistant to chemical corrosion, acids (including hydrofluoric acid), and high temperatures. The doors are made from 5-10 mm thick tempered glass, designed with counterweights for easy and safe operation. The work surface is available in phenolic resin, PP, or epoxy resin, offering durability and chemical resistance.

The cabinet is designed with upper front air intake bypass slots and baffles that change the direction of airflow, ensuring efficient air circulation whether the cabinet door is closed or open at a higher position. The airflow around the cabinet is drawn in through the front door, and the intake air is divided into two directions:
- Direction 1: Air from the outside is drawn up through the duct and expelled to the outside.
- Direction 2: Air is drawn through the slots, and the airflow behind the partition goes up through the duct for exhaust.
