Intended Use
- BacterPlate BHI Agar (BHI 90mm) is a nutrient-rich medium suitable for cultivating most bacteria without specific growth requirements. It is commonly used for the cultivation of easily cultivable bacteria, yeasts, and molds.
Principle
- BacterPlate BHI Agar (BHI 90mm) contains peptone, beef extract, and agar as its main components, providing essential nutrients for bacterial growth. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance of the medium, and disodium phosphate is added to maintain the pH level.
Result
- After incubation for the required time, typically 18-24 hours, observe bacterial colonies developing on the surface of the agar plate.
- To identify the isolated bacteria, appropriate tests must be performed subsequently.
- The related discs are directly inoculated on the plate.
- If the agar discs have been refrigerated, allow them to warm up to room temperature before inoculating the samples.
- Inoculate the samples onto the agar discs.
- Incubate the plates in aerobic conditions at 35-37°C for 16-24 hours.
