INTENDED USE

BacterPlate™ Pylori Agar is a culture medium designed to screen for Helicobacter pylori in gastric biopsy samples.
The packaging with semi-permeable Cellophane film helps balance the humidity of the environment during storage.

PRINCIPLES

Present in small quantity, the nutritive elements permit the development of stressed microorganisms. The combination of mineral salts maintains the osmotic balance. The presence of sodium pyruvate activates the bacterial metabolism.

Allow the agar plates to reach room temperature. Dry the plates in an incubator by slightly opening the lid.
Streak samples onto the plates
Incubate under microaerobic conditions at 35 – 37°C for 4 – 7 days.

RESULTS

After incubation, observe the bacterial colonies growing on the surface of the plate.
Helicobacter Pylori: Good growth, small, colorless colonies
